As a white Christian, are you hearing and observing the responses to racial trauma? Are you considering what this means for yourself, but having a hard time not feeling defensive, or at least on guard? Or maybe the more you learn, you are experiencing shame, feeling frozen about what to say or do next? Does the idea of dismantling racial trauma and injustice feel overwhelming to you? At Renewing Minds Therapy, we don't claim to have all the answers, especially regarding the experiences of black lives in America. We do however feel passionate about moving in this time against racism, and we believe that starts with us as a white community. That starts with us doing some internal work, processing our feelings and responses to "Black Lives Matter" and what that means for us personally. This is the deep work of healing and restoring in the Name of Jesus that moves us towards freedom and partnering with the black community over the long haul (not just for this season). This group is less focused on education around racism, but more focused on our internal responses to racism and expanding our capacity to "hold space" for others as we move towards anti-racism.

Come join us on Tuesdays for six weeks, starting on June 16th at 7:00 PM, for a mind, body, heart healing journey of our personal stories of racism to move us towards unity in the Body of Christ! This is a six week closed small group to allow for more time of processing and healing.
